My Tableau Student License has expired! How do I renew my student license?

To extend or renew your Tableau student license, simply re-submit this Tableau for Students form to verify you are still enrolled.

My product key is invalid. What should I do?

If you are receiving the error “the product key is invalid” it may be because the current version you have installed is an older version of Tableau. Please check out Tableau's Knowledge Base Page for additional support on how to resolve your issue.

Can I get a student discount for the Tableau Desktop Specialist Certification?

Tableau is currently offering a 20% discount on the Tableau Desktop Specialist Exam to students. Tableau does not offer discounts on the other exams at this time.
Please check out the Certification site for more information. The discount is automatically applied if you were successfully verified from SheerID when you applied for a student license. If the discount does not work, please feel free to reach out to tft@tableau.com for a discount code. In the case of a discount error, please wait to purchase until Academic Programs has resolved the error, as retroactive discounts and refunds are not possible.

Can I install Tableau on more than one device?

Yes! However, you are only allowed up to two activations with the same product key. This means you can install Tableau on up to two devices. If you have reached the maximum activations, and wish to install on another device, you must deactivate one of those activations. If you need assistance moving or deactivating Tableau on a machine, you can get more information here.

What's the best way to start learning Tableau as a student?
